Exploring, documenting, and protecting the rich biodiversity of Sri Lanka through ethical observation and community conservation.
Become a MemberBased in the scenic hills of Kandy, the Kandy Nature and Wildlife Club (KN&WC) brings together passionate environmentalists, researchers, and wildlife photographers. Our mission is to study and safeguard our island's unique ecosystems, with a special emphasis on documenting the behavior and breeding cycles of Sri Lanka's spectacular endemic avifauana.
We actively engage the public and our community through regular field excursions, educational newsletters, and citizen science initiatives that track local wildlife trends.

Our members strictly adhere to ethical, non-interference policies—ensuring bird nests, breeding pairs, and vulnerable fledglings are never disturbed, crowded, or compromised for the sake of an image.
